From a flat visual reference to a working deck
Image generation can produce a compelling whole-slide composition, but text, diagrams, and pictures arrive fused into one bitmap. Even when the slide looks finished, changing a headline or swapping one asset usually means generating the entire image again.
Reslide provides a post-generation path: submit the chosen images in order and reconstruct their visible content as a PPTX. This does not recover the model prompt, generation seed, hidden layers, or licensed source assets. Generated words and numbers must be treated as unverified until a person checks them.

The source stays important after conversion: use it to verify the new, editable representation before sharing or automating downstream work.

Choose the final image variants
Select one complete image for each slide. Resolve the overall narrative and aspect ratio before conversion so you do not spend credits on discarded generations.

Inspect generated content before upload
Look for invented words, incorrect logos, malformed charts, unsupported claims, and imagery you may not be permitted to use.

Convert the ordered image set
Upload the files in the workspace or send upload_ids/image_urls to an images_to_pptx task. Each image maps to one output slide.

Replace, rewrite, and quality-check
Correct all copy, rebuild data visualizations from verified data, replace questionable imagery, and align the editable result with your presentation system.

- 1 credit is reserved for each page and settles on a successful task.
- Failed or canceled tasks have zero net billable task credits; reservations are reconciled against their original credit pools under those pools' lifecycle rules.
- The current defaults are 100 pages per task and 100MB per upload.
- API users can query GET /v1/limits instead of relying on hard-coded limits.

What to inspect after conversion
Reslide reconstructs from the submitted visual source. It does not claim to recover information, behavior, or authoring structure that the source no longer contains.
Generated text may already be wrong
Conversion cannot establish what the image was intended to say. A human must proofread names, labels, numbers, legal statements, and citations.
The prompt and generation history are unavailable
A downloaded bitmap contains no prompt, seed, layer graph, or edit history. Reslide reconstructs the final visible page only.
Detailed art is not guaranteed to become vector objects
Complex illustration, photography, texture, and stylized effects may be best represented as separate pictures rather than fully decomposed shapes.

Common questions about this workflow
Does Reslide generate the slide images?
No. This workflow starts after you already have slide images. Reslide converts existing PDFs or page images; it is not a text-to-slide or image-generation service.
Can it fix misspelled text inside the generated image?
The reconstructed PPTX can make visible text easier to replace, but the service does not know the intended wording. Proofread and rewrite the slide yourself.
Do I upload my OpenAI credentials or prompt?
No. Upload only the finished image files or provide public image URLs. Never send another service's account credentials to Reslide.
Can I convert a whole image sequence through the API?
Yes. Use operation images_to_pptx and pass ordered upload_ids for local files or image_urls for public images, within the effective per-task limit.
